Australian Volunteers for International Development As one of the core partners for the Australian Government's Australian Volunteers for International Development, funded by AusAID, Austraining International mobilises skilled volunteers on short and long term assignments across Asia, the Pacifc, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Volunteers work with local people to reduce poverty by sharing knowledge, developing sustainable skills and building the capacity of individuals, organisations and communities in line with partner governments and Australian Government development priorities, and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The Australian Volunteers program managed by Austraining works with educations institutions, government departments, local and international NGOs, and private companies in Australia and partner countries to develop volunteer assignments and build networks between Australia and Asia, the Pacifc and Africa. Australian Volunteers for International Development is an Australian Government, AusAID initiative.
